The things I love about Fairview are the quiet neighborhoods. There is not a lot of traffic or noise. It is a peaceful neighborhood. You can sit on the back deck and listen to the creek flow by and watch the horses in the pasture next door or watch the ducks and Blue Herron pluck fish out of the creek if you are lucky.

We love to eat at The Local Joint. They serve all local food from this area. It is really good. We also love to eat at the Nachos And Beer. It is the best Mexican food anywhere.

We have the Food Lion just up the road. You can go there and be back in less than 10 minutes if you have forgotten something important in you recipe. They have a great selection of meats and veggies.

We bought the property so we could have the pasture across the creek for our horses. It is a great view of the creek and pasture.

The best thing about being in this area is if you want to stay home and do nothing you can but if you have a wild hair and want to let your hair down all you have to do is drive 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and there you can do what ever you want. All kinds of entertainment to satisfy all needs.

A few other things in the area is you have Lake Lure and Chimney Rock just 20 Miles away, great views there. You have the Great Smokey Mountains just an hour are so away and also Gatlinburg and Dollywood is just a drive away. Then you have Cherokee Indian Reservation and the Casino there also.

If you love hiking or fishing there is a lot of trout streams to fish in or hike.

We have the horses and ducks and turkeys that we take care of and enjoy them here on the property. We have little babies hatch all the time.

Our neighborhood is full of party people. We have creek parties and cookouts all the time. Everybody is invited. Bring your own beer.

We love that Asheville is a "Foodie" town, with many excellent restaurants, "artsy", with many art galleries, locally made crafts, Southern Highland Craft Guild, unique shops, mountains surround town with beautiful view and spectacular sunsets which can be seen when coming home.

Our neighborhood is very eclectic, with neighbors who have lived here for 40 plus years, as well as folks new to town from all over the country. Good Montford Association, helps protect uniqueness of neighborhood without imposing rules/regulations, association is voluntary with no fees. Great walking neighborhood, friendly. Annual Montford Street Party.

Restuarant (Nine Mile) right across the street is great. So convenient to run across and get take out, or eat there and not have to drive after drinking! Too many other great restaurants to list - a "foodie town".

There are four grocery stores within 2 miles, including Trader Joe's, Green Life and Harris Teeter. Can walk to downtown easily, which has many wonderful restaurants and shops.

Biltmore Estate is a short 3-4 miles away. Reasonable prices for season prices. Thirty minutes get you into the mountains for hiking, picnics, and outdoor activities.

We were drawn to this property because of the beautiful historic district, historic house with mix of Victorian and Craftsman styles. Unique, as only "Charleston type" house in town with upstairs and downstairs front porches. Original heart of pine floors, doors, frames and baseboards. Original oak mantel (4 fireplaces in house) and wainscoting.

History of house - Home was scheduled for demolition by city after neighborhood went through a period of significant decline. Local attorney bought the home, apparently at the last minute, and saved it from destruction. He made major repairs required for the home to be livable and to code, and turned it into 2 apartments.  Home still 2 apartments when bought by Bill Mills. He and his wife converted home back to a single family and spent many hours
re-plastering walls, stripping and refinishing woodwork, restoring house back to its original state in many respects.

We love living in the historic district and having an easy walk to downtown. Can be any where in Asheville in about 15 minutes. Blue Ridge Parkway goes through town, can be on hiking trails here within 10 minutes, "Four seasons", with winters not generally severe.

One of our hobbies are quilting, hiking and weight lifting. Large quilters guild, good selection of shops. Quilting very popular in area with many resources. You can be in the wilderness in 30 minutes for hiking and backpacking. There are 2 YMCA locations within 3 miles or less.

The things I love about Fletcher are the convenience, the small town feel and the general location. Fletcher is accessible to shopping of all kinds with nearby Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Lowes and multiple others. Numerous restaurants are within a couple minutes’ drive. From fast food drive thru to sit down meal, there is something for every taste and mood. With two credit unions and many other banks available in town, one never has to worry about access to cash or other financial needs. Fletcher also has a small town feel with its own parks, a chiropractor, dentists, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, etc. In the center of Asheville, Hendersonville, Fairview and Brevard you will find Fletcher. Interstate 26 is a short distance to Interstate 85 or the other direction leads you to Interstate 40, therefore plenty of destinations are only a short drive away.

We love to eat at the nearby Carrabbas, Chilis or Olive Garden with the occasional Cracker Barrel or Casa Torres.

Grocery stores are very nearby with an Ingles in the center of town and a Target/Walmart just a short drive.

When we bought the property we were drawn to the convenience and the maintenance free living. We also appreciated the details, as this was the model home so it had upgraded Moen faucets, a gas fireplace and stainless appliances.

The Fletcher area is wonderful for numerous reasons but we like the convenience the best.

With having two children it is nice Fletcher offers two parks for recreation. There is the larger Fletcher Park as well as the smaller Kate's park located near the library. A very short drive Mills River also offers a newer park and bike track.

We enjoy just being able to take a stroll around the neighborhood to get some fresh air and exercise.

Our neighborhood is great for welcoming new comers into the community. Each person you meet will share a smile and wave as you pass. Many also like to decorate during the holidays. With friendly neighbors it's easy to start a little competition for who has the best decorations. Many children live in the neighborhood so all take care to watch out and drive slowly. Townes at Bagwell Mill is a safe, quiet place to call home.

West Asheville is a wonderful area of the city with tons of restaurants and shopping.

We love the neighborhood sidewalks and location to Patton Avenue. The school district is highly sought out.

We love the the large and private back yard. It is perfect for entertaining a large family to match this large family home!  Under the canopy of mature and flowering trees, the back yard can play host from birthday parties to sunbathing. Almost completely fenced, your pets will love it as much as the kids.

The open concept is priceless when you are trying to keep an eye on the kids, or simply entertain friends for dinner. Having multiple large bedrooms means no one has to fight over who gets which; each room has its own personality.

Laundry on each level means no extra effort is required to tackle regular duties. All major maintenance and comfort updates are done, so you can just move in and enjoy the comfort of owning your new-to-you home, worry-free.

Private living with city convenience; this home is in a quiet neighborhood that is located between Asheville's most convenient access points for lightning fast travel to any part of town and beyond.

The is one of West Asheville's only pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods! Nearly every street and nook has nicely planned and paved sidewalks that are perfect for walking the dogs or jogging - adequately lit for even the night runner!

Whether you have a large family - or waiting to start one - this home can suit most anyone. It can be a great opportunity for an income property; with the separate living, kitchen, and dining spaces, bedrooms on both levels, and separate heating/cooling zones, it would be an easy home-share or rental. You live on one level, your roommates on the other!

Among the things I love about Asheville is the culture and the music. It is the home of bluegrass and gifted musicians are eager to strut their stuff in the multiple live music venues and pubs. It is the beer Capital of the East coast with numerous local breweries that serve up good beer with old world flavor and atmosphere. There is live theatre in abundance and many presentations seen only in major cities otherwise. Asheville is situated in the mountains with multiple access to the Blue Ridge Parkway! The natural beauty is everywhere.
The entire Asheville area is a collection of dining specialties with everything from small and unique one off local establishments to the exclusive and fabulous sought out by culinary aficionados. There are many special farm to table locations and of course the Biltmore Estate restaurants and Grove Park Hotel offering excellent food.
Ingles is a great local chain of supermarkets and almost on every block. Our local Ingles is only 2 miles away as is Walgreens and CVS. A ten minute drive away is Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter, with Earth Fare and Whole Foods Market not much further. Not to mention the Asheville local farmers market for an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, canned local goods like jellies, fresh honey and vegetables from our area.
We were drawn to being in the country within a few minutes drive of downtown Asheville and all of it's amenities as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and the fabulous views and trails in the mountains. We are blessed to be able to view abundant wildlife from our property. For a motorcyclist it is perfect - no matter which way you turn out of the subdivision the scenic mountainous roads start the adventure and go in every direction. There is no such thing as a wrong turn on a motorcycle in this area! Beauty abounds. We love the small town/country atmosphere and yet every need is met.
Asheville is not just a town or city - it is a mountain community that has something to offer for everyone. It has history, elegance, rugged beautiful mountains, culture, culinary delights for any pallet and the best Bluegrass you will find anywhere. It is a town that has found it's soul through the diversified culture of it's people.
If you are lucky enough to be in the mountains you are lucky enough! North Carolina has more than 500,000 miles of paved roads, second only to Texas in miles and second to none in beauty around every curve. Not only are the roads plentiful but they are beautifully maintained.
The wildlife in our area is abundant and a constant source of pleasure for us. We have summer birds, winter/snowbirds and everything in between. We are surrounded by national forests and National parks that support elk, deer, wild boar, bear not to mention all of the smaller creatures too numerous to name.

Our hobbies include snow skiing, motorcycling, hiking, sightseeing and history. So much of those can be done without leaving the area - outdoors when we feel like it and indoors with a quiet book or hobby or preparing for another educational journey to a new area or learning about where we live. The people and cultures represented here in the region are a story in their own right.

Our neighborhood is small in number and roomy in size. We have abundant wildlife and nature is the setting with all seasonal birds in winter & summer. The neighborhood layout is conducive to privacy and friendliness with minimal traffic. The views of the natural beauty and each season's specialty are prevalent. A mere 15 minute drive to the center of downtown Asheville without the traffic is an added bonus, therefore providing country living with city proximity.
