What I love about our town is being 5 minutes to Asheville. It is the perfect location to Lake Lure, Fletcher and Hendersonville.

Our neighborhood is quiet, friendly and peaceful. All you can hear is birds. We are always taking our grand kids to the park. We take picnics and throw rocks in the creek. There are Mallard ducks and wild turkeys come out and greet us. The HOA does a family HOA picnic at the pavilions so everyone can meet each other.

We love to eat in downtown Asheville. We recently ate at the Admiral and the food is amazing. We love 9 Mile Jamaican cuisine. Bouchan is fabulous french cuisine.

Our favorite grocery stores are Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Green Life, Trader Joes, and Publix - all in our backyard.

When we bought the property, we were driving down and saw the gated community and For Sale sign. Went in and saw the floor plan and loved the house.

What we love about the area is the serenity of the mountains. People don't understand why we are selling, however we are looking to downsize.

Our hobbies include hiking in the Blue Ridge mountains, driving around, and eating at fabulous restaurants.

The finished garage apartment/ in-law suite has been completely updated. Developer's lot - no HOA fee and no restrictions yet protected by covenants, possible 2nd build site.

What we love about our neighborhood is the overwhelming sense of peace when we come through the gates.  Being 15 minutes from downtown allows us to enjoy the restaurants, nightlife and all the wonderful things that make Asheville so special.

We love to eat at Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, Green Tea Sushi, Juicy Lucy's, the Inn at Deerpark, The Biltmore Inn, The Admiral, and The Grove Park Inn.  For a couple of beers, head over to The Wedge, Jack of the Wood, or any of the breweries on the south slope.

Using online grocery shopping at Harris Teeter has been wonderful.  Place the order over the internet, choose a pick up time and pick them up! Other than that, Bi-Lo is close and really convenient.

What drew us to this home was the closeness of town, with the tranquil country living. We enjoy watching the wildlife, the long range views of Mt Pisgah.  The combination of how the developer left the community framed by woods really accentuates and complements the pastoral setting of the home. It's close and convenient to EVERYTHING in the area.

What we love about this area is the proximity to the Biltmore House, downtown, the restaurants, the breweries and all the fun stuff.  When you get out and start onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, make sure to enjoy Graveyard Fields, and the Pisgah Inn.

We love hiking, biking, camping and seeing the Elk at Cataloochee. Skiing is very close by as is Charlotte and Atlanta.  We like to make home brew beer and we are growing our own hops in the side yard.

We really love gardening and the variety and extent of plants around the home is unparalleled.  Our neighborhood is a great place to raise kids and grand kids.  Listening to the tree frogs, crickets and the occasional deer wandering through reminds us how close we are nature and the nightlife.

'Seller Says':

The thing I love about Weaverville is the small town feel and activities.  Great schools and friendly relational people. We love to eat at the flowing restaurants like Stoney Knob Cafe, Blue Mt Pizza, Twisted Laurel, La Carretta, Grannys Kitchen. Grocery stores are plentiful because Ingles has 2 locations that are easy accessible.

When we bought the property we were drawn to a great location to Asheville, great school reputations, great options for churches that care about the whole family unit, and small town USA feel.  Asheville area is wonderful because of the variety of outdoor activities for any age group plus the travel distance that allows you to be in other great cities in under 2 hours of travel.

A few other things that I can mention are area festivals, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore House, great hiking trails, and awesome mountain stream fishing spots.

We love and enjoy the four seasons that come to Asheville area.  Fall and spring are always outstanding. We all like different things, we enjoy fishing, hiking, riding motorcycles, walking, and attending musical events.  All these are located just minutes from the house.

Our neighborhood is great for friendly neighbors who watch out for each other and value the neighborhood as a whole. Also safe place for kids to play outside.

Walking trails, a pond, waterfall and barn with 2 stalls, tack room and hayloft are just a few added features that this home has to offer. See Features list attached.

                        'Seller Says'
The thing I love about Mills River is that you feel like you're in God's country, away from the hustle and bustle, but in under 5 minutes you have the amenities you've grown accustomed to like restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and more. Our new Ingles grocery store is amazing and it also has a Starbucks and fueling station. The Mills River Creamery is a favorite with the kids and they love their Superman ice cream flavor. It's brightly colored so the kids think it's so cool but the owner told me it's actually "vanilla" flavor, go figure. We also are close to the Asheville Airport and the shopping center has everything you need from Lowe's, PetSmart, World Market, Big Lots, Pier One, Marshall's, Target and more. We also are proud to be the place that Sierra Nevada chose to create an amazing brewery at. We are growing by leaps and bounds and it helps to have the Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn in our backyard.

If food is your "happy place" then let me recommend a few places that we've found over the years. Our favorite pizza place is Mezzaluna in downtown Hendersonville. They have over 50 beers on tap and the pizza is amazing. Don't forget to try the bread with special pesto butter. Yum. We also love Moose Café with two locations in Asheville off 191 next to the Farmers Market and a location on Four Seasons Blvd. in Hendersonville. If you're in the mood for Irish food, head to Brevard and stop by Dugan's Pub. We stopped in during the White Squirrel Festival and had lunch. The Jukebox Junction Soda Shoppe is another place we like to visit on our way to Waynesville. It's right on 276 and has great burgers, fries, tator tots and save room for dessert. They make all their desserts from scratch and the apple cobbler was a hit with the family.

Grocery stores are just 3 miles away, Food Lion, and 1 more mile up the street is Ingles which houses a food court with Asian Cuisine, Boars Head Subs and Pizza and don't forget the Starbucks inside. We have found just about everything we ever need here. If you're looking for organics, Arden has an Earth Fare grocery store and we've found hard-to-find items like pate and their pizza is a favorite, too. We also have two Fresh Markets, one in Arden and one in Hendersonville. You won't go hungry living in Mills River, that's for sure.

When we bought our property, we were drawn to the picturesque views as we entered the front door. You step into the home and the mountains are right there in your face! From our great room and kitchen you see the mountains and in the spring, summer and fall you feel like you're living in a tree house. The birds are plentiful here and we've seen Indigo Buntings, many varieties of humming birds and the biggest woodpeckers you'll ever see. We have white squirrels in the neighborhood and since we've been here we've seen a fox, coyote, many deer and wild turkeys. Not to forget our 2 koi fish,16 comet goldfish, a green frog and a blue frog that live year round in our pond.

We fell in love with the Asheville are over 12 years ago when we came up to experience the fall in October. We were convinced this was the place we wanted to be. We will always call this area our home and we'll miss our little piece of paradise.

We all like different things and if you're into biking, hiking, nature trails and rafting, this is the place for you. The Pisgah National Forest is just minutes away with amazing waterfalls, hiking trails and the Cradle of Forestry is a must see for nature lovers.

A few other things that I can mention about our property is that if you have horses you will find this the perfect set up. With a 2-stall stable on-site it makes this a great fit. The stable is equipped with water and a separate electric meter...even fans are installed to keep them cool. The tack room is perfect for all your gear and the hayloft above is extra large with end doors for easy loading. The 2-acre pasture is fenced and a 1-acre wooded area would easily accommodate other farm animals once fenced. We lost count with how many types of bulbs are planted on the property but in the spring and summer you will see iris, daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, freesia, lilies and more. Once the leaves are back and the green grass returns it is a beautiful paradise.

Our neighborhood is great and you feel like you are living in a secluded area, but just in the distance, you'll see lights at night and realize "you're not alone," which is very comforting at times. Our neighbor's Richard and Catherine have an annual bonfire each year and invite all the neighbors. It's potluck so you can imagine the length of table needed to hold such a variety of food and desserts. We will miss those bonfires.
