What I love about my town are the restaurants, mountain biking, and our quiet neighborhood and nice neighbors.

We love to eat at Pappa's and Beer and Fatz Cafe.

Grocery stores we frequent are Ingles and Bi-Lo.

The things that drew us to our home are the great yard, the layout of the house, the great basement, and the large kitchen. One of my passions is woodworking. I love the huge workshop space this home has.

The things we love about Fletcher is the convenience of everything and the small town feel! We have a great family park 5 minutes away and an awesome fitness facility with indoor pools 8 minutes away!

Our favorite nearby restaurants are Blue Sky Cafe, El Rebozo, Carraba's Italian Grill, Chili's, Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday's. There are so many choices, from chains to local places, when you don't feel like cooking!

Grocery stores are plentiful and include Ingles, Aldi, Publix, Earth Fare, and The Fresh Market. Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's all also near by, as well as local Co-Op's. A neat old-timey hardware store is right down the road for those needed items!

With Asheville, Hendersonville and Brevard all with in a short drive, there is always something to do, see and discover! Fairview, Weaverville, Waynesville, Black Mountain, Hickory and Greenville, S.C. are all close by too. Great shopping, parks, historic places and more are all in your back door. Biltmore Estate is an easy 30 minute drive, where your family can enjoy countless activities and memories!

A few other things I can mention are the outstanding hospitals in our area. Mission, Park Ridge and Pardee are all very close by, with lots of other great medical facilities as well. We also have some really great private as well as public schools in our area.

It's just not hard to fit into the area! So many wonderful things we could say about it! So many conveniences without being in the middle of town!

Our neighborhood is great for any family! Friendly neighbors that watch out for each other. A safe place to ride bikes for the kids or take walks for exercise. A gated entrance adds that extra safety measure from general passer-by's.

There are many things we love about living in the beautiful town of Asheville. Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, there are endless outdoor adventures within close proximity. We enjoy hopping on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is 5 minutes from our house, to different hikes, waterfalls, and camping, all within a short drive. More locally, we often frequent the Warren Wilson College trail system, which is also a 5 minute drive from our house, just to get outside for a leisurely hike with the family in the woods, along the river, or to see the animals at the College farm. Asheville is the perfect size city for us. It is full of all the arts, culture, restaurants, music, etc. that one would want, without all the traffic and crowds. We love to go downtown with the family to enjoy the afternoons at local breweries, catch a meal at one of the many fabulous restaurants, and bask in the high quality of life that Asheville offers.

Asheville has many excellent restaurants that we love to eat at. Our favorites in East Asheville near our house are East Village Grille for the best chicken wings in town and awesome greek food, Creekside Taphouse for southern flavor and outdoor patio, and The Trailhead in Black Mountain where we often go to the Wednesday night bluegrass jam for dinner. Some of the more casual places we enjoy eating at in Asheville are White Duck Taco Shop, 12 Bones River BBQ, and All Souls Pizza, all in the River Arts District, and the Caribbean restaurant Nine Mile in Montford. For finer dining, some of our favorites are The Admiral in West Asheville, Bull and Beggar in the River Arts District, and Curate downtown. We also love to eat bunch on the weekends, and some of our favorites include Biscuithead and Sunny Point Cafe, both in West Asheville, and Early Girl Eatery downtown.

One of the great features about our homes location is its secluded feel yet close proximity to conveniences such as grocery stores, gas stations, and shopping. Five minutes from our house is Ingles grocery store, Starbucks, and gas station. For more organic options, Whole Foods is a few more minutes away on Tunnel Road. Located between our house and downtown Asheville, Tunnel Road is also where the mall is located, along with many places to eat and a variety of chain shopping options such as Target, Dicks sporting goods, Best Buy, and Lowes to name a few.

When we bought our property at 110 Reed Road we were drawn to its private, country feel, great views, and still being only 15 minutes to downtown. We also love the square footage this house provides, including large rooms, open floor plan, fireplace, basement, and great decks for enjoying the mountain views. It is a great house to have gatherings and parties with friends as well. We finished the basement since moving in and enjoy watching ball games, movies, and playing music there. Another benefit of our house’s location is it sits just outside city limits, which gives decreased taxes. This house also lies in a great public school system, including Bell Elementary and Reynolds Middle and High Schools.

Our neighborhood of Riceville, just east of downtown Asheville, is great for many reasons. We like the more rural feel, yet are only 15 minutes to downtown. It is undoubtedly the lightest area in town in regards to traffic, yet still minutes to conveniences such as quality grocery stores, gas stations, the mall, and restaurants. We really enjoy being so close to the Warren Wilson College trail system, as well as Owen Park, where we go to walk around the lake, shoot hoops, and feed the ducks. Another reason we love East Asheville is its proximity to quaint Black Mountain, which is 15 minutes East of Riceville. This town boosts excellent restaurants, breweries, shops, and parks, but with less crowds when we want an easy evening out.

There are a few other things I can mention about Asheville that we appreciate. We love the fact that there is seemingly always something going on in and around town. Whether it be an arts and crafts festival, farmers market, flea markets, art shows, or free music such as Shindig on the Green or Downtown after Five, fun and adventure is all around without overwhelming crowds. Another thing we appreciate is the quality and accessible healthcare that Mission Hospital system provides. We sincerely hope someone will enjoy living in this home as much as we have.

Some of the hobbies we enjoy around town include hiking, camping, and frisbee golf at Richmond Hill. We also enjoy seeing music around town, at such venues including the Orange Peel, Grey Eagle, and Jack of the Wood. On the weekends we like strolling the farmers markets and visiting the many breweries in town, with some of our favorites being Burial Beer Co., Wedge Brewery, Wicked Weed Brewing, Green Man Brewery, and Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain.
