We love the town we live in because it is a good base for many sight-seeing day trips. We have beautiful mountains and valleys, lakes, fishing, hiking, temperate climate, many festivals and car shows, annual international dance festivals, low crime rate, many shops (consignment, antiques).

Our hobbies include reading, writing, fishing, cooking, bicycling, hiking, gardening, 4-wheeling, canning, golfing, sight-seeing, kayaking,, and white water rafting.

We love to eat at Pioneer Restaurant, Blue Rooster, Subway, Sagebrush, Kobe Express, New Happy Garden, and El Chapala, as well as at home :)

Our favorite grocery stores include Food Lion, Freds, Ingles, Wal-Mart and Save Mor, among many others.

Our favorite hang-outs include The Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley, Ghost Town, Wheels Through Time Museum, all the local breweries, and many other local activities.

We were drawn to the fruit trees  and blackberry, blueberry, grape, and raspberry bushes when we bought the property. The flat acreage, close proximity to town, shopping, etc; the easy access to the interstate, the beautiful views of mountains and valleys, and the access to superb medical facilities.

What we love about our neighborhood is that it is quiet, private, yet helpful when needed, cooperative, everyone takes pride in the appearance of their lawn, close proximity to good schools, highways and medical facilities.

We love Asheville for its small town feel but big town choices. It is a friendly place with a downtown that's more like a square with small shops and restaurants clustered near a park area with strolling musicians. The population is of all ages - lots of college students to many retirees with families of all means. Bicycles are a handy way to get around town.
We love to eat at a variety of restaurants but there is always a new one to go try. Special occasions you can't beat Grove Park Inn but the Brazilian Steak House, Longhorn Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and Texas Roadhouse we like too.

We like to breakfast at Kosta's Kitchen or JD's or Happy Jacks for true Southern food.
But there's always Chipotle, Moe's Southwest, NeoBurrito ... Even fast food Chjck-Fil-A, and the rest. Also Ryans, Papa John's, Authentic Thai, Koyoto Japanese. All types of groceries are handy - Greenlife, Fresh Market, Whole Foods,  Harris Teeter, Trader Joes in addition to Ingles (local area chain), BiLo, and Publix., everything - even food trucks.

We were drawn to the property by the view, the security, the details of the unit, the people we met. Once we were drawn in, we realized how economical it would be to live there - the only utility is electricity (and cable/telephone). Water, sewer, hot water, trash pickup, snow removal, pool, parking, and maintenance all included in the monthly fee. A bonus is the view of the fireworks from the Grove Park Inn and others.

The Asheville area is the most fabulous place to live - Vanderbilt picked this area to put the Biltmore House here of all the places in the world for a reason. It has a moderate climate but all four seasons, mountains to explore via the Blue Ridge Parkway (just down the street from the property), skiing nearby, and killer views from the property and all around.

The area also has attractions we enjoy like a zoo complete with big cats, elephants, snakes and nature education sessions. The Folk Art Center displays quilts and teaches quilt making and well as other crafts. And of course, there's tons of golf courses handy.

Also the University of North Carolina at Asheville has a wide variety of credit and non-credit course that we've taken advantage of. And the community college serves dinners by the culinary students from their world known program.

We really enjoy spending time in the mountains hiking with a picnic into the Blue Ridge Parkway areas and eating with the fabulous views. Certain times of the year are capped with flowers and foliage that decorate the scene. Learning more about art and minerals at the downtown museum has turned out to be a venture we never expected to enjoy. We never expected to enjoy exercising but with a personal trainer it turned out to be fun and good for us too.

Our neighborhood is those in the condo - the surrounding area is at a distance. This means you know everyone like a member of your family. With the many local pool parties and ad hoc activities we got to know everyone. While the majority of resident are adults, the families are friendly and inject energy into everything.

What I love about my neighborhood is that it is convenient to everything and a close drive to Asheville.

I love to eat at Veranda. It is amazing.

The things I love about Black Mountain are the friendly people. The surroundings are beautiful with the golf course and Lake Tomahawk right down the street from our home. The local restaurants offer outstanding food and our large grocery store is great!

We love to eat at Fresh (their pizza and salads are amazing), Phils BBQ Pit (the food is so good we are having our daughters rehearsal dinner there), My Fathers Pizza is famous for their terrace and food, Ingle's Market has the best salad bar and fresh sushi in their deli - it just doesn't get any better than that!

Our favorite grocery store is Ingle's, one trip and you'll know why - they have everything!

When we first bought our home it was a small house with great surroundings Tomahawk Lake has tennis courts, a pool, croquet, playground, fishing and walking/biking trail. Just across the street from the golf course.

Black Mountain is quaint and very clean. The many small shops and furniture stores offer special things that you won't find just anywhere.

Our neighbors are quiet, diverse and very friendly.

We love the outdoors. Biking, hiking, fishing, sight seeing, golfing and swimming - it's all here!

Our neighborhood is know for being quaint and friendly. If you are out in your yard the people that drive by wave and smile. Many people walk to the golf course and Lake Tomahawk past our home, many stop and chat.

What I love about the Weaverville/Alexander is the sense of community. It is small enough to run into familiar faces and friends and close enough to enjoy Asheville.

We love to eat at Blue Mountain Pizza, La Caretta, Twisted Laurel and Well Bred Bakery. There are plenty of grocery stores near by: Ingles, Walmart and Aldi

When we bought this property we were drawn to the lovely neighborhood, the fenced yard and the extra space we needed for our growing family. It seemed to have a place for us all.

The Asheville area is fun and offers so much to do. We love to camp and are close to many places. If we want to stay close in, we can go to a local eatery in downtown Weaverville. Something else that drew us to this neighborhood in particular, was the great school district. We have three children in the school district here and love it.

We love the outdoors and are close to great places for hiking. We are members of the YMCA and can access the Y in the Woodfin area -that is closer than going all the way into town.

Our neighborhood is great because of it's natural beauty. The streets are tree lined and homes are well cared for. It is a great place to walk or run and the neighbors are friendly.

Weaverville is indeed a special place. It is the community of determined, talented and rare people. Weaverville offers a variety of many different and diverse interests, hobbies and culture. The town's character is formed more by its people than it's statistics. Beautiful views, majestic landscapes and mountain beauty.

Stoney Knob has been a favorite since I relocated here. I love this place, especially the salads and Sunday Brunch. This restaurant has been around for decades and that in itself, is unbelievable.

The pottery shops, craft stores, and variety of little shops nestled there in. As far as grocery stores go , I will say I visit Ingles on a daily basis.

Location, location, location. Minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and less than a quarter of mile from Reems Creek. This property has privacy and a fire pit. This house has offered so much throughout the years.

Everyone knows pretty much everyone, dating back for generations. There are a lot of prideful, strong, diverse individuals nestled in these mountains. The area is beautiful - no doubt about it.

I love plants. Gardening is my favorite hobby and I'm always searching for the most unique plant or variety. I also love playing radio contests and have been doing so since the early 90's. Reading true crime novels is also a hobby and cooking especially seafood dishes or for large crowds. I love to cater.

My neighborhood is wonderful because it consists of families who are friendly and helpful. My neighbors of over 20 years still remain intact, friendly, and kind. Neighbors looking out for neighbors is a lovely part of the neighborhood. To fee safe in one's environment is important, and people tend to keep an eye out for each other. The creek right below the house is stocked each year with trout, and we'd fish conveniently or explore the creek and relish in the coolness. The parkway is minutes away. So many trips were spent traveling the scenic views of the parkway, and it's great for picnics or family get-together's.
