When we go out to eat we generally go to Asheville Farm to Table restaurants which are no more that 10 minutes away. We especially like to eat at the Biltmore Estate-we have a pass which gives us a 10% discount as well as Isis Restaurant in the Haywood Park Hotel, Corner Kitchen in Biltmore Village, and 131 Main in Biltmore Park.
Grocery Stores are very available--Ingles, Food Lion, and Bi-Lo are only 5 minutes away. There are also Pharmacies as well as Banks and Multiple Gas Stations within 5 minutes from our home.
When we bought our property we were interested in an attractive community that was Green Certified. Cool in summer, toasty in the winter, plenty of light through windows and my wife loves our over sized kitchen.
We love the natural beauty of the Asheville area--hiking, Water Falls, Lakes, The Blue Ridge Parkway as well as Independent Farm to Table Restaurants. The Asheville Symphony is fantastic.
A few other things about Asheville--Local Crafts, Art, and fantastic Doctors and Hospitals. There is a great mix of people from all over the country and world living in Asheville. We enjoy hiking, attending Symphony-we are season ticket holders, attending craft shows and attending our local Church.
Our neighborhood is great for walking, weekly Friday night parties, and a monthly potluck. All neighbors are caring and supportive of one another.
