The things I love about Asheville are its friendly atmosphere, great coffee shops and restaurants, and good library system and educational opportunities.
We enjoy eating at the wide selection of places in Asheville including The Gondolier, Cheddar's, Earth Fare, The Corner Kitchen and even Sams Club! The City Bakery and the Tea Room are also delightful. Grocery stores are located all around the Asheville area and we love the wide variety of choices from general stores such as the numerous locally developed Ingles chain groceries and Harris Teeter to specialty stores such as Whole Foods, Earth Fare, and Trader Joe's.

We moved to Asheville because we grew up here and loved the open ambiance of the mountains and the changing seasons through the year. The peaceful surroundings and pleasant views around Asheville make this a great location for living and raising a family.
One very nice thing about this property is its very versatile gardening potential. We have grown numerous vegetable crops including preserving our own corn, beans cabbage, okra, potatoes, asparagus (established bed), grapes, sauerkraut, pickles, and even making cobblers from the service berries picked from our trees in the back of the house. The previous owner kept horses on the property and serious sustainable farming should be possible for a determined family!
We like the easy access to the great road system around Asheville. We are close to Warren Wilson University and then I-40 with its easy access to Asheville, Black Mountain, and even Hendersonville, Marion and Hickory, NC plus numerous National and State Parks.
We have especially enjoyed gardening for flower growing and house decorating as well as food crop planting, growing, harvesting, preserving and eating! There are also great walking trails in the area as well as good indoor pools (for a fee). Our yard is also good for volley ball , badminton, and other activities for children or adults.  Our neighborhood is great for it's beautiful countryside, friendly neighbors, and good selection of nearby churches.
