We love the town we live in because it is a good base for many sight-seeing day trips. We have beautiful mountains and valleys, lakes, fishing, hiking, temperate climate, many festivals and car shows, annual international dance festivals, low crime rate, many shops (consignment, antiques).

Our hobbies include reading, writing, fishing, cooking, bicycling, hiking, gardening, 4-wheeling, canning, golfing, sight-seeing, kayaking,, and white water rafting.

We love to eat at Pioneer Restaurant, Blue Rooster, Subway, Sagebrush, Kobe Express, New Happy Garden, and El Chapala, as well as at home :)

Our favorite grocery stores include Food Lion, Freds, Ingles, Wal-Mart and Save Mor, among many others.

Our favorite hang-outs include The Blue Ridge Parkway, Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley, Ghost Town, Wheels Through Time Museum, all the local breweries, and many other local activities.

We were drawn to the fruit trees  and blackberry, blueberry, grape, and raspberry bushes when we bought the property. The flat acreage, close proximity to town, shopping, etc; the easy access to the interstate, the beautiful views of mountains and valleys, and the access to superb medical facilities.

What we love about our neighborhood is that it is quiet, private, yet helpful when needed, cooperative, everyone takes pride in the appearance of their lawn, close proximity to good schools, highways and medical facilities.
