 ***"SELLER SAYS"***

Without a doubt, we love living in a town that has four distinct seasons! Asheville's climate is nearly perfect for each season of the year with few extremes. As a result, the mountains of Western NC offer many your-round outdoor activities. In the winter months, we're close to nearby ski slopes for snowboarding or skiing. The warmer months offer abundant exploration opportunities on the many rivers, lakes, hiking, and biking trails. Additionally, with a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway running through Asheville, it's easy to simply hop on and go for a ride on a weekend afternoon to look at the fall colors in the autumn season or find a spot for a picnic in the summertime.

Asheville also boasts abundant shopping opportunities. From the culturally diverse one-of-kind shops in downtown Asheville to the Farmer's Market to the huge flea market just south of town to the newest Asheville Outlets, there is no shortage of places to have some retail therapy.

We love our neighborhood. Lake Julian Trails is a small, quiet, and quaint neighborhood. Due to its size, there are numerous opportunities to get to know your neighborhoods. You'll often find people chatting on each other's patios or porches, walking their dogs together, or even helping each other out with springtime garage sales. It's also kid-friendly atmosphere, and you'll find children of all ages live throughout the neighborhood.

Some of our local favorites spots to eat are Blue Sky Care, Papas and Beer, Tupelo Honey, Apollo Flame, Lannucci's, and 12 Bones!

Of course we also have the usual chain restaurants, and all of these are within five minutes of the house: Chili's, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Carrabba's, Ruby Tuesday, Lone Star Steakhouse, and several popular fast food locales.

The house is in a prime area to quickly access grocery stores and other popular shops! Nearby, there is a Target, Walmart, Ingles (grocery store), and a brand-new Publix just a few more minutes up the road. Just a couple miles away from Lake Julian Trails is a Lowes, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, World Market, Old Navy, Best Buy, and much more!

For outdoor entertainment, we love to venture up to Mt. Pisgah or Mt. Mitchell or head over to the many hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway or in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock Park is also not too far away and is a beautiful place to visit year-round, but we like to head that way when apple-picking in Henderson County in the fall season.

Always on the lookout for great deals and antiques, we often frequent Smiley's Flea Market on Saturday mornings. Asheville is also no stranger to antique stores and repurposed furniture venues.

For theater, we have the best of both worlds...the ever-popular Flat Rock Playhouse in Henderson County and Asheville Community Theater in downtown Asheville.

For music lovers, some of the larger concert venues make it to the big state at the Verizon Center, but you'll find some of the hottest acts at the smaller, but happenin', Orange Peel!

Our children's personal favorite hangouts (aside from the various parks) are Fun Depot and Mountain Play Lodge. Fun Depot is popular among the older elementary and above children, our younges munchkins can spend hours well-entertained at Mountain Play Lodge! Both are very close to the house... a huge plus!

In short, location....location is why we were drawn to this property. It is located in the prime school district in the hottest growing part of the country! We have the best of both worlds...the feel of beingin quiet neighborhood while being close to everything we need. And...the Asheville airport is also just a 5-7 minute drive away!

We love to go tubing on the French Broad River and have a place less than a mile from the house where we can drop in! We also like to fish, hunt, and camp. As avid DIY-ers, we love having access to craft stores, hardware stores, and re-purposed furniture venues. Lastly, we also love to horseback ride on the many trails nearby.
