Seller Says:
The thing I love about living in the Mills River area is I'm halfway between Asheville and Hendersonville, N.C. I can get to the downtown of either City in 20 minutes. I find I use both cities equally.

We love to eat at: Apollo Flame BistroRuth's Chris Steak House, Frankie Bones, Biltmore Bistro, 131 Main, sorry can't possibly name them all, lots of good restaurants in Asheville and Hendersonville. Grocery stores are plentiful, I love Earth Fare and Fresh Market, but Ingles has gas pumps and the lower gas prices so I go there often.

When we bought this property we were drawn to the beauty of the mountain views from our deck, the fall color and sunsets from our deck, the tennis and golf. The views driving down the mountain when I go out in the mornings are breath taking.

The Asheville area is wonderful because there is so much to do. Very friendly people, beautiful little towns all around to visit. It has a interesting history. Great shopping. Lots of higher education, some free for seniors. Very close to Tennesse and South Carolina. Some of the best Duplicate Bridge players I've ever come across are in this area. Great Playhouses, Flat Rock and Asheville. A few other things I can mention are, my grandchildren love to come to Gram's to go to camp. Wonderful camps all over this area in the summer and I use them, the parents get a break. The Blue Ridge Pkwy is just up the road,  also the North Carolina Arboretum is straight up the road 4 miles. We love to have family and friends visit, our house affords us lots of room not to be bumping into each other.

We like different things, my husband golfs, I play tennis. I love the shopping that's all around me. I can play bridge in the bridgeroom in Asheville and in Hendersonville. Several movie houses to go to. Wonderful knit shops in Asheville (two of them), one in Black Mountain and Flatrock.
Our neighborhood is great for golf, tennis, you can't find better hiking than around our streets. The houses are sitting so you can't see other houses from your decks so it's so private, only mountain views.
The utility cost really is reasonable here
