 Seller Says:

Asheville is a wonderfully unique town.  The population is diverse, warm, and friendly.  There are so many shops and activities that appeal to the interests of just about anyone.   There is an abundance of fabulous restaurants, art galleries, distinctive shops, hiking, biking, and fishing…just to name a few. This home is within five minutes of Biltmore park where we could enjoy a wonderful evening of dinner at Travinia or P.F. Changs and take in a movie, as well.

Another great aspect of our location is that we were within 5 minutes of two different Ingles grocery stores.  We also were within 10 minutes of either the farmer’s market or an Earthfare. We were drawn to this area because it is so conveniently located to different areas of shopping and recreation.  It is within 2 miles of The NC arboretum (our personal favorite place to visit) and Bent Creek.  Also, the airport is less than 10 minutes away, yet no noise!

We will surely miss the wonderful people of Asheville, as well as the sheer beauty of the area.  We will most certainly miss the The NC arboretum. It was wonderful to have such a gem of a park less than 3 minutes away!!! Our home is within 1/2 mile of Avery Creek elementaryschool.  It is also located within 10 minutes of the well-respected TCRoberson High school.

Another interesting aspect of this home's location is that you can access the Blue Ridge parkway within 2 miles.  This can make getting around town a relaxing and scenic experience.  Or you can choose to take a beautiful Sunday drive without having to go out of your way. This home is within 1/2 mile of the french broad river where you can enjoy a quiet, relaxing picnic.  Or you can put on your waders and enjoy a day of fly fishing just minutes from your home.

This is a very family friendly neighborhood.  There is a play park for the neighborhood children.  Also, there are many kids of all age ranges on every street.  The neighborhood is very social with frequent impromptu evening porch get-togethers.The utility costs (or lack thereof) of this home are truly impressive.  Due to the outstanding energy efficiency of this home we enjoyed the lowest utility costs of any home we have ever owned.  We enjoyed seeing our efficiency ratings awarded through progress energy compared to other homes in surrounding neighborhoods.  We were always extremely well rated!

  2. What a great property in a lovely neighborhood. 5 bedrooms for this price is hard to find! And having an unfinished basement is great for expansion, storage, etc!

  3. I have to say that this neighborhood is truly wonderful! I have lived here for a few years and I am not planning to move anytime soon. It is a friendly, inviting, and welcoming (not to mention beautiful) community. The location is good as well. I wanted to be close to my favorite spots when I moved here but also in a location that does offer some privacy. I have achieved that goal.

  4. This home offers an abundance of space, gleaming hardwood floors, a kitchen to be proud of. Great master on the main with a large walk-in closet. Of course, we can find you a wonderful home in many places around the Asheville area - this one benefits from a fabulous location, which is usually the criteria at the top of the list when searching.

  5. Great Area... Just a stones throw from the Blue Ridge Parkway, French Broad River, and NC Arboretum. I should know I live just down the street. Great local dining, entertainment, theaters, shopping, and the list goes on. The home is excellent. Its the kind of place you can get away from it all and then quickly get back to it.
