The things I love about Weaverville are the friendliness of the people and the warm feeling of living in a small town that has its own brand of sophistication. It has grown since I have been here and will continue to grow, although I hope it doesn't get too big.
I love to eat at the following restaurants: In Weaverville: Blue Mountain Pizza, Well-Bred Bakery and Stoney Knob Cafe.
Of course, there are so many good restaurants in Asheville, which is only 15 minutes away, that it would be impossible to name them all. Grocery stores are plentiful - Ingles (2 of them) are minutes away, as well as Fresh Market, Greenlife and soon to be Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's.
When we purchased our property, we were mainly attracted by the wonderful mountain views. I love Asheville for it's unique assortment of people, the accessibility of theater, music and arts and many fine restaurants. The shopping is good and it is, generally, a pleasant town to hang out.
As I do not have school-age children, I cannot discuss the schools, except to say that from what I hear from friends, the schools are excellent. Mission Hospital in Asheville is very well regarded, and we have had very quick response both from the paramedics and the fire department.
Another advantage to the area is the Asheville Regional Airport which offers direct connections to Atlanta or Charlotte, thus making it easy to get any place while still being able to small, convenient, hometown airport.
At UNCA, the Reuters Center offers an amazing selection of courses geared to seniors. There is something for everyone who is interested.
My favorite hobby here is walking and hiking and there are many readily accessible trails and paths. This neighborhood is great for the country feeling, the beautiful views, wonderful people and its closeness to all the conveniences of Weaverville and Asheville.
My utility costs are comparable or less than the ones I paid while living in Florida. They are:
Electric - Progress Energy (includes heat or A/C) - $300/monthGas -
PSNC (stove, barbecue and hot water) - $15/month
Town of Weaverville - $30 monthTelephone and Internet -
Frontier - $85/monthTV - Dish Network - $90/month
Incredible value, I love the Brazilian Tiger-wood floors!! I love the large pantry, the picture window in the upstairs loft and I love the European showers. This is really a $1million+ property at a super great deal!ReplyDelete
Gorgeous home with wonderful finishes. This is the kind of video with such great views that I want to have as my screensaver! Great quality of craftsmanship inside and out, demonstrated in the stone and paved driveway outside and the special woods and finishes insideReplyDelete
You have to see it in person to really understand the level of construction and design of this home. The custom painted areas of the home are exquisitely done and the exotic woods used in the house have a warm well established feel. Every portion of the home is set up to enjoy the views and ease of living. Large main level living design with parking on the main level as well. Great home for the market and looking forward to wowing buyers with this property.ReplyDelete
This house is amazing! You feel at home instantly with the wood floors and warmth of the colors. If you enjoy entertaining, this home is ideal, fabulous kitchen with large workspace and plenty of storage. The view is magnificent, too. The proximity to Asheville makes it an easy commute, plus the arts community and restaurants make Asheville a great place, too.ReplyDelete
Loved visiting this home just to feast our eyes on all the amenities! Our personal favorite is the wine closet, custom-done, spacious, and elegant! We are Weaverville neighbors and can attest to the wonderful living here, views so green it hurts your eyes, outstanding restaurants within a couple of miles, and Asheville at your fingertips! Sorry the owners are moving, but it will become the new owners gain!ReplyDelete
Thanks for taking the time Jim and Marianne - it's clear you love living here!Delete

This is a one of a kind home with the big view, gourmet kitchen and the elegant appointments. I also love the privacy with the great out door living. The wine celler is an unusual PLUS.ReplyDelete
I love the faux finishes on the walls! And the kitchen has a beautiful light colored granite that is unusual and beautiful. The kitchen has a gas oven/range and dark cabinets. Very stunning and yet very functional. What a great pantry!ReplyDelete
I love the outdoor living space and the views! I look forward to selling this house! Gwen
This might be one of my favorite homes I have previewed with Patton Property Group. I appreciate living spaces that have been personally detailed in flavors of exotic taste, travel, and culture. The Brazilain Tiger Wood is a statement of the preciousness of a home environment and conversation to abound. This is a home to love and live in.ReplyDelete
What a great home with amazing views. The outdoor space is fantastic and the interior of the home just as magnificent. Very desirable location close to both Weaverville and Asheville. A gated community near the golf course...does it get any better? I don't think so.ReplyDelete
