Some of the things we love about Asheville - the diversity of experience - the art galleries, restaurants, theaters (movie & live), music, venues, sports (AA Baseball, college sports, basketball college playoffs), colleges, volunteering opportunities (hospital, Habitat, Elidah Home for children, others). Not to mention the mountains to roam around nearby. 

We love to eat nearby (within 10 blocks) - sometimes fast food (Taco Bell, Bojangles, Burger King, KFC, McDonalds), Sometimes we go further to the Haywood Street shops including Tasty Diner, Sunrise CafĂ©, other small surprises. If we venture into town there are Mediteranian, Asian, Thai, Japanese Steak House, Brazilian Steak House, Outback, Longhorn, Ruth's Cris Steakhouse, Lone Star, Texas Roadhouse, (hey we like steak) , even a sushi place, or Chinese Buffet (Asiana, Tao), and even Southern! And if not that there's Chili's, IHOP, Applebee's, Olive Garden or Red Lobster. 

Grocery stores within 10 blocks are Ingle's and Save-Mor. Further are Whole Foods, Greenlife, Trader Joe's, Harris Teeter, BiLo, Earthfare, Fresh Market. 

We were drawn to the property by the location, flat access to the lot, flat front & back yards, large back yard, and full utilities (electric, natural gas, municipal water & sewer, garbage collection), sidewalks, schools 

The Asheville area has all the features of a much larger city, stuffed in the mountains, with plenty of senic views, running/biking/hiking trails, streams, parks, river tubing, and more. 

This location is close to many features within 10 blocks such as banks, Post Office, 2 Urgent Care Centers, dentist, Tai Chi lessons (and a chiropractor too), Harry's GMC car dealer, mini golf, many small stores, and a Tastee Freeze (ice cream) for summer days.

We especially enjoyed exploring the area. 

The neighborhood is good for accessing all Asheville has to offer by car, by bus (main line is within 4 blocks), by walking. Even a Gold's Gym is within walking distance. And it is in the popular West Asheville area.
