"This house is perfect for entertaining; anything from formal dining and dancing to an all weekend long family reunion, this house accommodates. With a large dining room and living room interconnected to a small efficient kitchen, you can be always with your guests even while serving them.

The different levels lend themselves to different age groups not spoiling each other's fun. What a blessing with small children and teens around!

We love Asheville for its beautiful mountains, its diverse people, plus its art and music. Asheville has the best qualities of southern hospitality while being further enriched by the people from so many other cultures who have moved here.

We love to eat in Asheville, which is a short twenty minutes away. Asheville has so many wonderful restaurants it has been featured in many magazines. Chefs from all over the world come to our beautiful city nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. Fairview, which is the community where we live, does have a few places although it has kept out big business. Instead there is a mom and pop pizzeria place, coffee shop, and diner called the Local Joint

The grocery store in Fairview is Food Lion with a small organic store, Trout Lily, across the street. But for the best groceries you want to go to one of the many convenient Ingles in Asheville, Arden, or Fletcher. If you've never shopped at an Ingles you are in for treat, with its organic produce and meats.

We were drawn to our property by the gorgeous drive; with horses and picturesque barns all along the way, it truly brings a sense of well being to arrive on our mountaintop. The Asheville area is great for its outdoor fun in the daytime and its nightlife of music and fine dining. There are so many things to do: hiking on the parkway, tubing down the French Broad river, taking a tour of the many breweries here, or walking through the river arts district. Lake Lure is only 20 minutes away from our house with it's breathtaking views of a lake surrounded by mountains and its bottomless pools. Of course, Biltmore estate is beautiful and worth visiting in all four seasons. And driving around in the Asheville area, you will see an abundance of waterfalls that simply take your breath away. Asheville has been named one of the prettiest places in America!

There are several other unique things about Asheville. It is a dog friendly city. It is a great place to live if you are a vegetarian with every menu here giving you many options to chose from. The music scene is phenomenal. Musicians who normally go to large cities with their large venues come to the small quaint city of Asheville. It seems to be a magnet for musicians and artisans alike.

Of course, we are all different but Asheville has something for everyone. With our house less than 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can go for a drive and stop at the many overlooks and take a picnic with you. Or you can take the kids to the nature center, rock museum, or for a ride on a zip line. There is a skateboard park downtown and also a water fountain kids love. There are so many fun festivals here. Beer festivals, music festivals, and apple festivals in the fall. Asheville is definitely a place where you can live life to its fullest. Our neighborhood in Fairview is quiet and secluded with only a few neighbors."
