"The things I love about Arden is living in the county, but being so close to the city of Asheville. The town is very friendly. Watching it grow with the widening of the main roads and the coming Asheville Outlets is exciting.

We love to eat at the Corner Grill at Boone's Corner. The food is great and the atmosphere friendly. The waitresses know us and our entire family. A family pizza restaurant is just down the street as well. Apollo Flame, Stone Ridge, PF Chang's, 131 Main, and Brixx are also favorites. There is fun and a friendly atmosphere in all directions.
Grocery stores are plentiful and easy to get to. Two different Ingles grocery stores are easy to get to from my house. Also, I have been able to find last minute items at the convenient store at Boone's Corner. I love having the Asheville Outlets opening in Spring of 2015. I am very excited about these coming shops. Some of things that have been already promised with the coming outlet is that it will feature approximately 75 manufacturer and retail outlets. There are plans to include some local restaurants and other businesses and it will employ more than 1,300 people.

When I bought the property, I was drawn to the amazing yard. The house had room enough for all of my kids. It was easy for me to picture my kids playing in the large back yard. The school district is top notch with the TC Roberson school district being one of the best in this area. I felt comfortable knowing my kids would receive a quality education. The neighborhood was clean, inviting, and well kept. I knew this would be a good place to live.

The Asheville area is wonderful for things to do. Rafting down the French Broad River, walking through the Arboretum, shopping at the mall, going to sporting events, free outdoor concerts at Biltmore Park every summer, the Regal Grand movie theater, riding on the Parkway

Downtown Asheville has amazing restaurants and shops to walk through. Very diverse. Asheville also offers easy access to the interstate in every direction for trips out of town. The house is easily located to the interstate and made it easy for us to take trips out of town.

A few other things I can mention are the medical facilities and ""urgent care"" centers. When we needed it, these centers were very close, helpful, and prevented a trip to the hospital.

Our family church is just down the street. The kids/teen department helped me raise my kids.
We love to watch the snow or leaves outside of the picture window. It's a beautiful scene. Another surprise I realized when watching out the window and sun room, are the deer that go through the neighborhood every morning and night. Also, I used to come home from work and ""warm up"" in the sun room on cold days or I would ""cool off"" with the windows open in the sun room while reading a book on warm days.

Of course we all like different things. We have enjoyed walking through Biltmore Park and seeing the Christmas lights or Halloween Trick or Treating with the kids. We have enjoyed hiking different areas of the Parkway and ended up purchasing a family membership to the Arboretum. The gardens there are beautiful and gave ""inspiration"" for my home. (Evergreens are around the house so that it will always have beautiful color. The Teddy Bear Magnolia and Nellie Steven's Holly are my two favorites.)

Our neighborhood is great for taking walks and saying "hello" to the neighbors working in their yard. Chatting with them and getting to know their kids or pets has been a joy.
