                        'Seller Says'
The thing I love about Mills River is that you feel like you're in God's country, away from the hustle and bustle, but in under 5 minutes you have the amenities you've grown accustomed to like restaurants, shopping, grocery stores and more. Our new Ingles grocery store is amazing and it also has a Starbucks and fueling station. The Mills River Creamery is a favorite with the kids and they love their Superman ice cream flavor. It's brightly colored so the kids think it's so cool but the owner told me it's actually "vanilla" flavor, go figure. We also are close to the Asheville Airport and the shopping center has everything you need from Lowe's, PetSmart, World Market, Big Lots, Pier One, Marshall's, Target and more. We also are proud to be the place that Sierra Nevada chose to create an amazing brewery at. We are growing by leaps and bounds and it helps to have the Biltmore Estate and Grove Park Inn in our backyard.

If food is your "happy place" then let me recommend a few places that we've found over the years. Our favorite pizza place is Mezzaluna in downtown Hendersonville. They have over 50 beers on tap and the pizza is amazing. Don't forget to try the bread with special pesto butter. Yum. We also love Moose Café with two locations in Asheville off 191 next to the Farmers Market and a location on Four Seasons Blvd. in Hendersonville. If you're in the mood for Irish food, head to Brevard and stop by Dugan's Pub. We stopped in during the White Squirrel Festival and had lunch. The Jukebox Junction Soda Shoppe is another place we like to visit on our way to Waynesville. It's right on 276 and has great burgers, fries, tator tots and save room for dessert. They make all their desserts from scratch and the apple cobbler was a hit with the family.

Grocery stores are just 3 miles away, Food Lion, and 1 more mile up the street is Ingles which houses a food court with Asian Cuisine, Boars Head Subs and Pizza and don't forget the Starbucks inside. We have found just about everything we ever need here. If you're looking for organics, Arden has an Earth Fare grocery store and we've found hard-to-find items like pate and their pizza is a favorite, too. We also have two Fresh Markets, one in Arden and one in Hendersonville. You won't go hungry living in Mills River, that's for sure.

When we bought our property, we were drawn to the picturesque views as we entered the front door. You step into the home and the mountains are right there in your face! From our great room and kitchen you see the mountains and in the spring, summer and fall you feel like you're living in a tree house. The birds are plentiful here and we've seen Indigo Buntings, many varieties of humming birds and the biggest woodpeckers you'll ever see. We have white squirrels in the neighborhood and since we've been here we've seen a fox, coyote, many deer and wild turkeys. Not to forget our 2 koi fish,16 comet goldfish, a green frog and a blue frog that live year round in our pond.

We fell in love with the Asheville are over 12 years ago when we came up to experience the fall in October. We were convinced this was the place we wanted to be. We will always call this area our home and we'll miss our little piece of paradise.

We all like different things and if you're into biking, hiking, nature trails and rafting, this is the place for you. The Pisgah National Forest is just minutes away with amazing waterfalls, hiking trails and the Cradle of Forestry is a must see for nature lovers.

A few other things that I can mention about our property is that if you have horses you will find this the perfect set up. With a 2-stall stable on-site it makes this a great fit. The stable is equipped with water and a separate electric meter...even fans are installed to keep them cool. The tack room is perfect for all your gear and the hayloft above is extra large with end doors for easy loading. The 2-acre pasture is fenced and a 1-acre wooded area would easily accommodate other farm animals once fenced. We lost count with how many types of bulbs are planted on the property but in the spring and summer you will see iris, daffodils, tulips, hyacinth, freesia, lilies and more. Once the leaves are back and the green grass returns it is a beautiful paradise.

Our neighborhood is great and you feel like you are living in a secluded area, but just in the distance, you'll see lights at night and realize "you're not alone," which is very comforting at times. Our neighbor's Richard and Catherine have an annual bonfire each year and invite all the neighbors. It's potluck so you can imagine the length of table needed to hold such a variety of food and desserts. We will miss those bonfires.
