There is plenty of entertainment when someone visits or for family outings such as hiking activities at Dupont Forest/Holmes State ParkCarl Sandburg or various falls in Brevard.  It's rich in cultural arts as well with Flat Rock Playhouse and Brevard Music Center which are close by and always great entertainment.

We love Mona Lisa, MezzalunaPapas & BeerFlat Rock Wood Room  (featured on Food Network last year).

We love the recently new or newly expanded stores in downtown Hendersonville (Harris TeeterFresh Market, Stein Mart, T. J. Maxx and coming at a later date is Publix).

Walked through the doors and we both thought this is it and we had looked at homes while vacationing here for 8 years.  This was also before we opened up the year round mountain view and remodeled the entire house!

We love the close proximity of Asheville for things to see and do.  Such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville museums, Grove Park Inn and Biltmore Estates.

This area is  rich crafts with a large population of Woodturners, quilters, and weavers (Johnson Farm Hendersonville has a local guild that meets and demonstrates there and a summer program for children to teach weaving).

My husband is a woodturner and he belongs to the Southern Highland Craft Guild that meets once a month with different demonstrators from around the world at the Blue Ridge Parkway Folk Art Center in Asheville.

Quiet, friendly neighborhood with a perfect mile of road for a daily walk
