 'Seller Says'

There is something for everyone in or near Asheville. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, rafting, camping and horseback riding. There is a vibrant arts and entertainment scene, as well as many nationally recognized restaurants and craft breweries. Whatever you enjoy, you can find it here in Asheville.

We love the many unique restaurants in the Historic West Asheville District, which is about five minutes from home. Check out the Facebook and web pages our favorites:

Nona Mia Italian Kitchen - nonamiaasheville.com
Nine Mile - ninemileasheville.com
Westville Pub - westvillepub.com
Asheville Sandwich Company - ashevillesandwichco.com
Universal Joint - ujasheville.com
Buffalo Nickel - buffalonickelavl.com
West End Bakery (cinnamon rolls....yummmm) - westendbakery.com
Oyster House Brewing - oysterhousebeers.com
Pour Taproom - pourtaproom.com
Biscuit Head - biscuitheads.com

The grocery stores we like are Ingles, Earth Fare, Trader Joe's and Aldi. Also, a new outlet mall at Biltmore Square opened this month. This is just about five or six miles from our home.

Our favorite hangouts are:
Asheville Pizza and Brewing for $3 movies (even 3-D), and great pizza and craft beer
The Orange Peel is a music venue in downtown Asheville that books great shows.

Take in some hometown baseball with the Asheville Tourists. They're the farm team for the Colorado Rockies.

If you're a bowler, there are two houses in Asheville from which to choose - Star Lanes and Sky Lanes.

The Western North Carolina Nature Center is within 10-15 minutes of home. Visit our native animals.

The list wouldn't be complete without adding the Biltmore House and Winery. Become a season pass holder so you can enjoy all the estate has to offer in all four seasons: spring tulips, summer concert series, the grape harvest, and candle light Christmas.

More about our home:
I love the fact that this property is cool and shady. It's usually about 10 degrees cooler than down on the highway. And, it's quiet... you seldom hear cards, buy you can hear the birds. There are only a couple of neighbors nearby and they've been there for a long time... and they're nice. There's plenty of space for a big garden if you have a green thumb. You feel like you're in the country, but you're just minutes from everything on this list!
