*** “SELLER SAYS” ***
Things we love about Asheville are:  there are lots of cultural activities, outdoor activities, sports events, fun night life, music, dancing, lots of great restaurants, great healthcare available at Mission Memorial (rated in the top 100 in the country), St. Josephs Hospital or the VA Hospital which is one of the best in the country.

It’s a small town but  lacks nothing big cities have to offer.  We can walk to Shindig on the Green on Friday nights.  There are two Farmer’s Markets in town to go to on weekends and The Big Farmer’s Market which is open everyday, year round.  We also love that it is such an animal friendly city.

Our neighborhood is great for parties--and there are a lot!  In the summer there are fireworks displays every Friday night for the “Tourists” home games and we have a front row seat.

We are very popular for the 4th of July and New Years Eve celebrations because of the perfect viewing from our deck and porch.  We have thoroughly enjoyed walking the neighborhood roads through beautiful forests, along quiet streets with historic walls from raw 1030’s WPA which line the road from town to the Grove Park Inn.

We love to eat at many of the restaurants in town.  Whatever we feel like, it’s only a few minutes away.  There are neighborhood places we can walk to like Gan Shan Station, Taco Temple, or Starbucks,

We can drive five minutes to Chestnut, Black Bird, Pack Tavern, Pompodoros, Grove Wood Cafe, Ambrosia, New Bridge Cafe, Sunset Terrace at Grove Park Inn, Melas, Table, Vinnies, ZambrasSmokey Park Supper Club and The Lobster Pot. The list goes on and on.  We could eat at a different restaurant everyday for two years!

Grocery stores are plentiful in our area. Within 5 minutes there is Ingle’s, Trader Joe’s, Harris Teeter, GreenLife, Whole Foods, EarthFare, The Fresh Market, the Asian Market and The Chop Shop.
There are also lots of specialty stores in town for Chocolate, Bakeries, Tea and Coffee, specialty oils and vinegars and of course lots of Wine stores!

When we bought the property we were most drawn to the views.  We have views of the mountains, the city, and our garden.  There are views from every room in the house, even the stairwell.  We were also drawn to the “outside” part of our house.  It feels like living in a small Italian villa with the walls and the ballustrades.  People driving by often stop in the top parking area to take pictures of the city.

The Asheville area is wonderful because it is so vibrant.  There is a variety of people living here.  Lots of students attending UNCA, AB Tech, and South College.  Many retirees because there is so much to offer people of all ages.  All kinds of artists in the River Arts District and there are numerous galleries all around town.  Tourism is thriving almost year round.

Four other things to mention: we have more parking areas available (Room for 7-8 cars) than any other house in the neighborhood.  Our road is clear year round.  The higher up you go on Town Mountain the more difficult it can be to drive in winter weather.  We have access to both Town Mountain Road and West View Road.  There are  "flat areas" on two sides of the house that would make
future expansion much easier.

Of course, we all enjoy different activities.  We enjoy golfing and there are some great links close by: Asheville Municipal,  Reems Creek, The Omni at Grove Park, The Grand Plaza, the Cliffs and Broadmoor to name a few.  If you like water sports, Lake Lure and Lake James are an hour away.
