This just might be the perfect mountain home! Only 15 minutes to Black Mountain or Lake Lure, in the wonderful Creston community. You can get away from it all, yet still be close to shopping, great restaurants and more. The layered, year-round views are spectacular. The cozy log cabin is spacious and filled with special touches. The stunning stone fireplace in the great room is a wonderful focal point. Pre-inspected and offering a home warranty.
"Seller Says"
Its natural beauty, easy-going, friendly people and a deep spirituality are some of the things that drew us to this area.
We love to eat at various restaurants in Black Mountain and some really outstanding eateries in Asheville. We enjoy Pisgah Brewery and taking out fresh dinners from Red Radish in Black Mountain. We shop for groceries at Ingle's in Black Mountain and buy commodities and specific items at Wal-Mart in Marion or Asheville.
We did a sabbatical in Bavaria and were amazed to find a similar natural beauty here in Western North Carolina. Creston's values epitomize the preservation of values that are important to us. Western North Carolina is a unique mixture of cultures and we love the diversity of the area.
As a golfer, there are some good to great courses and being outside is important to both of us.
We love our cabin, its intimacy, its sense of home and its connection with nature. It fits who we are and where we are in our lives. We love our walks in the mountains and being close to nature with our dog. We love the flora and the fauna, especially the wild turkeys, deer and black bears. We live in a 100 year old laurel grove and love their annual blooms and the native rhododendrons that line the hills as well. Right now the flame azaleas are blooming and are amazing. Every season has a special beauty and fall colors are a definite positive.
We enjoy our walks, light gardening and golf. Our neighborhood is on top of a mountain in a planned development called Creston. A high proportion of the land was put into a conservancy to preserve the natural beauty. There are many paths and waterfalls on the property. In spite of its closeness to nature we have high speed internet and a population of 138 properties owned by people who enjoy the out of doors and being around other people as well. A beautiful community center sits at the top of the mountain for resident's use.
