"Seller Says"
I have lived in this area for 55 years and at 1028 Jenkins Valley Road in Alexander, NC for 45 years. My late husbands family had the land and we built our home from ground up in 1978. It is peaceful here and trees surround the house so it's like you are in your own private world.

As far as restaurants go, there are so many places to choose to eat that we like them all. We have restaurants close on New Leicester Hwy, i.e. Subway, McDonald's, Arby's and over the river to Weaverville, NC, where there is BoJangle's IHOP, Pizza Hut (also on New Leicester Hwy) McDonald's. Burger King. Waffle House Kentucky Fried Chicken. There is a Chinese Restaurant and a Mexican Restaurant as well. The 12 Bones restaurant where the President ate is about 15 minutes from my home.
We are 10 minutes from Walmart @ Weaver Blvd, and 5 minutes from Ingles on New Leicester Highway and also there is the Ingles in Weaverville, NC. Aldi is now located in Weaverville, NC with easy access.

My late husband's parents owned the land and this is where we decided to live. Asheville/Leicester/Alexander is a great place to live. You have access to about anything you want to do.
A few other things about my house is it is well insulated and a huge front porch. I love sitting on the porch in the morning hours...it's refreshing. Also, there is little traffic on Jenkins Valley Road and when you are in the house you cannot hear the traffic. Living here is just a nice place to live. I've always loved this area. Our neighborhood is quiet.

We love to bowl, my husband and I. You have Sky Lanes bowling alley on Patton Avenue and Start Lanes on Kenilworth off of Tunnel Road.
