"Seller Says"

Read the Sellers' Perspective!

About the town: Apple festival, artisan festival, garden festival, Thanksgiving parade, 4th of July fireworks every year downtown. Lots for all ages to do: mineral and lapidary museum, hands-on children’s art gallery, antiquing, yoga classes, and so much more.

Restaurants: One of our favorite places to eat is the Blue Ridge Pizza Co. a few miles away in Etowah, the Horse Shoe restaurant within walking distance, and the Mexican restaurants, a few minutes away, in Laurel Park. In Hendersonville proper, the restaurants are all amazing with literally award winning menus and rated 4 and 5 stars on the web. One of our favorite places, a block or two away from Main Street, in the Mona Lisa Restaurant. The owner is from Italy and makes his own noodles.

Grocery: A few miles away, toward Etowah, is a large Ingles store and a few miles in the opposite direction, in Laurel Park, is a small Ingles store. Within walking distance is a vegetable/fruit market and for that forgotten milk and bread, there’s always the gas station, which also has a Subway.

What drew us to our property: What drew us to our property was the peace and quiet of cal-de-sac living, beautiful shade trees, the quaint breakfast nook to watch the hummingbirds and white squirrels also blooming flowers and fall colors, the shine of the wooden floors, the “outside feeling” and the mountain view of the sun room, and the large workshop for woodworking. We discovered, after living there, the mountain side protects us from wind and in the evenings, as the sun sets, the cool mountain air rolls down out of the trees and cools the house with a lovely blend of leaves and flowers.

Love about the area: In just a few minute’s walk or drive, you can get anything you need, as if you lived in the city, and yet the neighborhood is so quiet and lush, as if you’re living in the country.

Other things about the area: We really enjoy living so close to all the waterfalls, the Pisgah and Dupont Forest, and all the activities they offer for us: hiking, fishing, photography, or just sitting--overlooking a pretty view, with a picnic basket at our side. At the entrance of the Pisgah Forest is the best BBQ restaurant we’ve ever eaten at: Hawg Wild BBQ. It’s amazing!

In the woods, next to the driveway, is a large rock next to a little creek. It's the perfect place to sit and listen to the birds, the creek, smell the trees, and think. It's a lovely place for a picnic too!

Hobbies near by: There’s a quilting store, a few minutes away in Laurel Park; there’s quick access to the French Broad River for fishing; also in Laurel Park is a wine shop, which often has wine tasting; there are several golf courses within a few miles; and yoga classes 10 minutes away, in downtown Hendersonville.

Our neighborhood: A few miles away, in Laurel Park, is easy access to a quilt/sewing store, doctor’s offices, pharmacy, Talbots clothing store, a wine shop that holds wine tasting events, and several nice restaurants. Within walking distance, is the Horse Shoe post office, several quaint little restaurants (Italian, Asian, American), pet grooming, physical therapist, and a small vegetable/fruit market at the tiny Horse Shoe plaza. Yet the neighborhood is very quiet. Neighbors love to walk up and down the mountain for exercise and walk to the nearby shops or post office.
