"What I love about the Town of Fletcher is that it is centrally located between Asheville and Hendersonville; about 25 minutes to both places. We are just 15 minutes from the Asheville Airport. From our driveway to the nearest grocery store (Ingles) is a short 10 minutes We have the best of both worlds. Small town atmosphere and the peacefulness of country living. I also love the idea that we have our own local baseball team. Go Tourists!! You must visit McCormick Field and get a sense of the old time baseball legends.

We love to go into town and eat at the local Blue Sky Cafe. They have great food and the staff are always welcoming and courteous. Beef O'Brady's has a great Pub atmosphere and always a nice place to interact with the locals. There are many great options for food and entertainment in Hendersonville and Asheville.

We have a great local convenience store, Charlie's on The Creek, that includes a little Italian deli and has all of the essentials you need. Ingles is only a short 10 minutes from the house and is a fantastic grocery store. Additional shopping is close by in either direction within 20 to 30 minutes. Fletcher/Arden has a large shopping center and a Super Wal-Mart very close by. Biltmore Park is just down the road for additional entertainment and shopping.

When we bought the property I fell in love with the drive up the mountain and the gorgeous views of the mountain ridge. Being able to see the seasons change in full glory has been one of my most memorable experiences.

The Asheville area has always held a special place in my heart. The community is widely diverse and always welcoming of visitors. Many small business owners are housed in the downtown area. It is definitely the place to visit when you have out of town company. Hendersonville is also a quaint little community. It is home of the famous Apple Festival and just a short drive from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

Fall is a great time of year for outdoor festivals and celebrations. Summers are spent on the river, fishing, tubing and kayaking! Winter brings snow and skiing! There are many tourist attractions within easy driving distance. Several of my favorite movies have been filmed in our area. Lake Lure is host to the annual Dirty Dancing Festival. Chimney Rock has been featured in many movies. Brevard is known as the Land of the Waterfalls and was one of the sites for the filming of the Hunger Games. Maggie Valley has a beautiful ski resort and is less than an hour away!
We love to drive the back roads and explore the scenic routes for hiking and biking. There are plenty of local craft shops, artists and antique stores. Fall and Spring offer numerous festivals and outdoor celebrations that not only offer unique fun, they will educate you on the history of Appalachian heritage.

Of course we all like different things, but any outdoor enthusiast will love the fact that we are on one of the most highly traveled paths for cycling and hiking. The beautiful waterfalls of Brevard and Pisgah National Forest are a short 30 minutes away. The wide array of scenic views will capture your heart the moment you arrive. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a spectacular drive for all ages. I love the quiet country feel of the mountain top.

Our neighbors are friendly and always helpful, but not too close in proximity that our privacy is invaded. I love coming home every day and experiencing the serenity of the mountains and being able to observe the wildlife that runs freely on the mountain. If you love nature and the outdoors...this location is ideal!
