"Seller Says"
The things I love about Swannanoa are that it's about 5 miles from East Asheville, also close to Black Mountain.

We love to eat at the following restaurants: in Swannanoa, Athens which is pizza & pasta, just down the road from our house, and Okey Dokey Barbeque down on highway 70. In Black Mountain our favorite is Trailhead and Oles Guacamoles.

Our house is so close to everything we need, just a couple of minutes away we have an Ingles grocery store with gas station, there is Ace hardware beside it and close by there is CVS pharmacy. If we are in the mood for fast food, there is a Subway and Burger King nearby also. Our daughter goes to Artspace Charter School which is about 4 minutes from our house and loves her school.

When we bought the property we were drawn to the beautiful year 'round mountain views, how easy it was to access from the highway, the spacious lot, the warm welcome from the neighbors who became great friends, the sound of the little stream beside the house and just the feeling of being out in the country but still close to the city and everything we need.

The Asheville area is so beautiful surrounded by mountains, the weather is just right, enjoy the 4 seasons without them being harsh, if you like nature and being outdoors there are many places to see, go camping, boating, hiking and the best is that you don't need to travel for hours in order to get to them.

A few other things we can mention are: most everything is close by, the parkway is such a beautiful drive, especially in the fall, the colors are incredible!! If you like fresh produce, there are markets, Ingles grocery store has a large organic and gluten-free products. In Asheville there is an arts district you can visit, we love arts and crafts, the famous Biltmore House is not very far, so much to do there with your family.

We enjoy canoeing on the French Broad River, boating and camping at Lake James, driving on the Parkway, walking around downtown Asheville, going roller-skating at Tarwheels, it is in Swannanoa close to our house, love it!! We also enjoy going to Pisgah Brewing, it's family-friendly,live music and offer variety of organic beer.

Our neighborhood is quiet, our street is a dead end so not a lot of traffic on it, there are a bout only 10 houses but not too close to each other, our neighbors are not just neighbors, they are friends.
