"Seller Says"

Things I love about Weaverville.....quaint downtown area, upscale arts and crafts, down to earth and helpful neighbors.  Quiet neighborhood.  Close to North Buncombe school districts, High School, Middle School and Elementary.  One exit away from beautiful Mars Hill college.  Daylight basement in law suite for mother or adult child.

Close to Asheville where there is always something going on.  Excellent restaurants and activities.   We love to eat at our new restaurants, Zaxby's, La Caretta, Steak and Shake in Weaverville.  We also love the Deli, the Latino restaurant and Chinese restaurant in downtown Mars Hill.  Or, you can drive to Asheville for a never ending list of restaurants.

We are 10 min. from Walmart as well as Ingles, Roses, gas stations, car washes, Big Lots and two quaint downtown areas, Mars Hill and Weaverville.

We bought this property to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.  We still needed to be close to Asheville to work and also for all the activities.  We built the downstairs area, fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, storage for my sister.  We designed this house so we could join in taking care of our Mother and Father.  They have since "passed on" and we need less room as we are retiring and want to travel.  We also had the room to create a huge storage room and exercise room in the basement.  Also we had room to build a two car garage which has room for lots of "stuff".

Asheville is diverse and so interesting.  You will find good "ole country people" as well as plenty of people from all over the world.  We all learn from each other. We have downtown activities constantly as well as the famous Grove Park Inn and Biltmore House.  You can dine any given night as if in a foreign country as well as locally owned BBQ houses and Country Diners.  Always something new and wonderful going on!   Our home is in the perfect place for those on the go or for those who like a more laid back quiet life.  Something for everyone!  This house is storage galore.  You can have complete order in your home as there is a place for everything.  The kitchen has beautiful new stainless steel appliances and a tile backsplash.  The house has been recently painted inside and out.

We love to antique and go to flea markets.  This can be a full time thing if you wish.  We go all over the place from our home. We can get to Atlanta in 3 hours, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge in an hour.  Charlotte is only 2 hours away.  Or, you can stay home and look out on the beautiful mountain view.

We have many interests and hobbies. We have found every single one of them in our area.  People come to our area once and then move here permanently.  Then, their family members seem to follow.  I have heard this many times in talking to the different "transplants" in our area.  It is the most beautiful place to live.  My husband and I are both natives which is rare to find.

Our neighborhood is friendly and people are helpful if needed.  Our neighborhood is well maintained where owners take pride in their homes.  Our neighborhood seems out in the country but is actually only 15 minute drive to Asheville.  We have a wonderful front porch with amazing views and also a quiet back yard that is very private with beautiful landscaping.

We have an amazing homeowners association....$25.00 a month that keeps the road maintained as well as the street lights operating and the sides of the road mowed.  We had always been afraid of homeowners associations but this one has proved to be priceless!

  4. Three things that I love about this one: level entry from the rear of the home to the kitchen OR double garages below (most mountain homes don't offer this); custom tile back-splash in kitchen gives a fresh, contemporary feel to the whole home; huge master suite--finally a home with the square footage in the right place!

  7. As I went down to the basement and took a left off the steps, looking at storage space and a work-out area, I thought it was being used great as a partially finished basement. However, I was floored when I opened the door to the right of the stairs and saw a finished efficient studio, kitchen and all. I was also very pleased that the time and money had been spent on retaining walls. They always bring a sense of relief.

As you walk through the house just keeps going and going. The kitchen is bright, beautiful and updated. Love the backsplash! I can't wait to show this home to my clients.
